SUPERFLUID EXPANSIVE BONDING AGENT

DESCRIPTION: BETOCEM 200 is an expansive bonding agent, very fluid, with elevated initial and final mechanical resistances, even after a brief seasoning. Mixed with water it transforms into a very fluid mixture that can be injected, with a special equipment, into the cavities or other difficult to reach spaces. The product has good characteristics of adhesion to the support, impermeability and resistance against sulphates. USE: BETOCEM 200 is used for the preparation of fluid mortars for the consolidation of mixed masonry subjected to buckling with the technique of low pressure grouting, for the rigid filling of joints in prefabricates, for the metallic reinforcement blocking (either in masonry or in rock), etc. Used instead of common cement, it is suitable for the preparation of high mechanical resistance mortars and concrete that are easy to pump and of controlled shrinkage. PREPARATION OF SUPPORT: The foundation must be clean, compact, free from powder and grease substances. Saturate the support with water, eliminating possible backwaters at the moment of casting. In case of consolidating grouts, wash abundantly with water after having performed the holes, starting from the high part, in this way making the dust go out from the underlying holes. PREPARATION OF PRODUCT: To prepare the mortar that must be used as a grouting fluid, pour into a cement mixer 4,5 - 5 litres of clean water every bag of 20 kg of BETOCEM 200 and mix for some minutes till obtaining a homogeneous, fluid mixture free from clots. If we want to use the product to get mortars or concrete, mix with a quantity of water necessary to get the desired consistence, then add BETOCEM 200 and, at the end, the inert; mix till obtaining a homogeneous mixture. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE: To grout the fluid inside the masonry, begin from the lowest holes with pressure of around 1 - 2 atmo-spheres. The application can be done, according to the kind of work and mortar's consistence, also with traditional systems (trowel or casting) or direct pouring or grouting. CONSUMPTION: Grouting fluid: 1,6 kg per 1 litre of cavity to fill. Mortars: 400 - 500 kg/m3. Concrete: 300 - 400 kg/m3. MANUFACTURED IN: BETOCEM 200 is supplied in polythene-lined bags of 20 kg, onto the pallets of 1200 kg. Keep the product in dry and sheltered place. In these conditions its stability is of at least 6 months. WARNINGS: To make the best of expansive properties, the application immediately after mixing is advisable. BETOCEM 200 is a cement product, so all the precautions for a correct seasoning must be foreseen. After the application, avoid the too rapid evaporation of water that may cause the small superficial fissures appearance due to plastic shrinkage. Damp the surface for the initial 24 hours.
